I use Monster Studio Beats and I was getting popping and crackling when certain decibels were too high - especially with bass. The first thing I thought was that my headphones are damaged goods, but I went into Settings and changed the Sound Headroom to Safe which fixed the problem. Now I can play with the frequency any which way I want with no distortion, and whether my Beats by Dre are messed up is a moot point (maybe I should go reread what these things can actually do).
Four out of Five stars, minus one for only two reasons:
- You cant edit your playlists, requiring me to still need iTunes and the device default music app.
- I just encountered a glitch that crashed the app before it would even open; soft and hard reboot did nothing, I had to delete and reload the app to fix the problem... thus losing all my customizations.
- Sept 21/14 -- I have same problem with original EQu (has additional Radio option purchased). I havent tried reloading it though. Does the fact I have iPhone 3GS and IOS 6 mean anything? It was working until Sept 19 update.
Used Copy Trans Apps to restore to EQu 2.2.3. All is well
Other than this glitch I really love EQu especially with my iPhone Altec speakers. It fixes the treble.
R.and.Y. about EQu - the quality equalizer, v2.2.6
